Al Hilal beat Al Ittihad 4-1 to win the Saudi Super Cup. Although Karim Benzema played for the Etihad, Al Hilal's Neymar was in the gallery. Neymar, who has not yet recovered, watched his teammates play from the field, and took part in the trophy-festival at the end of the match.

Brazilian forward Malcolm scored two goals for Al Hilal in the match. The other two goals were by Salem Al Dawsari and Nasser Al Dawsari. Abderrazzaq Hamadallah scored the only goal for Al Ittihad. The Moroccan forward also missed a penalty.

Al Hilal extended their record for the most consecutive wins among teams in the top competition by winning the match at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The Riyadh club's streak has reached 34.

By winning the Saudi Super Cup, Al Hilal stand a chance of winning at least four trophies for the season. The team is 12 points ahead of second-placed Al Nasr in the Saudi Pro League. There are also semi-finals of the King's Cup and the Asian Champions League.

But the Brazilian star has already won a trophy at Al Hilal courtesy of the Saudi Super Cup.
