France is on maximum terror alert

France has raised its terror alert level to the highest level in the country after an armed group attacked a concert hall in Moscow, Russia.

Prime Minister Gabriel Attal disclosed this information on Sunday after a meeting with President Emmanuel Macon and senior security and defense officials. Gabriel Attal said in a social media post.

France has three levels of alert regarding the threat of terrorist attacks. The highest level of alert is activated in the event of an attack in France or abroad, or when an attack is feared to be imminent.

Security has been beefed up at important places and facilities under the highest level of alert. For example, armed forces patrols are strengthened at railway stations, airports, religious places and various public gathering places.

At that time, armed men entered the concert hall and fired indiscriminately at the audience with automatic weapons. With that, the explosion was made. This caused the hall to catch fire. The roof collapsed.

The Russian Foreign Ministry called the incident a "bloody terrorist attack". IS claimed responsibility for the attack soon after.
