The prices of thousands of products have been reduced in the UAE on the occasion of Ramadan

 

Retailers in the UAE have announced a range of benefits for consumers on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. These include fixed product prices, buy-now-pay-later options, additional discounts through bank cards and a five thousand dirham gift card. And above all, 'prices are lower than last year' - this promise.

Large hypermarkets are run by the government and private sector traders in the country. These things that are not commercially available are rare. Thousands of everyday products are sold in these hypermarkets. Many products are even announced to be discounted by up to 75 percent. The total value of these discounts will be 10 million dirhams.

Khaleej Times reported that on the occasion of Ramadan, e-commerce companies Amazon and Noon are offering various benefits, similarly, hypermarkets are also offering benefits for buying products online and in stores. Carrefour, owned by Majid Al Futaim, has launched a 'Prices are lower than last year' campaign.

Carrefour is offering 50 percent off on over 5,000 products, including groceries, fresh food, kitchen appliances, electronics and more. Apart from this, this vendor has announced to keep the price of 100 products like rice, milk, oil. Carrefour has allocated 50 million dirhams, so that 100 more products can be sold at lower prices than last year. They said that the price of oil and milk will be the lowest.

Bertrand Lumme, Country Manager of Majid Al Futaim said, 'Our priority this month is to ensure that our customers can afford healthy, nutritious and good quality food. This Ramadan, our staff is keeping the product prices lower than last year. In keeping with the true message of Ramadan, we are planning various charitable activities.

Another product seller in the UAE is Safir. One of their directors, Bejoy Thomas, said that they are offering special discounts on 600 products. More than 50 percent discount on many products. The objective is to 'meet the needs of all families'. Lulu Group operates hypermarkets.

Apart from private retailers, government-backed cooperatives have also entered the race for price concessions. They have reduced the prices of thousands of products by up to 75 percent. According to Dubai-based Union Coop, during the holy month, they will offer 50 to 75 percent discount on 4,000 products. Apart from this, the price of two thousand products will remain fixed.

Sharjah Cooperative Society has allocated 3.5 million dirhams to reduce the price of 10,000 products. They are offering up to 75 percent discount on products like cooking oil, flour, rice.

It does not end here. Every week of this month they will give away two Suzuki Dzire cars to buyers. In addition, there will be 30 gift cards worth five thousand dirhams. Winners will get furniture. There will also be a 1000 dirham shopping card. Those who spend 300 dirhams or more on products will get this benefit.

Amazon is offering up to 70 percent off. Products that will be eligible for this benefit include fresh produce and household, kitchen, beauty, fashion and electronics products. These benefits will be found in the products of various local, regional and international brands. Products can even be purchased from Amazon's US and UK branches.
