Trump's big success on Super Tuesday

Trump has already secured 13 out of 15, according to US media accounts. She only lost to challenger Nikki Haley in the state of Vermont.

But with a big win on Super Tuesday yesterday, he has advanced a lot in the race to get the Republican Party's nomination. According to the US media, the 13 states Trump has won so far are Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, California, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. Utah state results are not yet known. Nikki Haley, one of Trump's rivals for the Republican nomination and former US ambassador to the United Nations, narrowly won the northeastern state of Vermont. On the news of the victory, Trump thanked his supporters in a post on his own social media, Truth Social. 

Super Tuesday is known as the most important day of primary voting for the Democratic and Republican parties before the presidential election. Yesterday on this 'Super Tuesday', 15 states of the United States voted for the Republican Party primaries. Democratic primaries were held in 14 other states and the territory of American Samoa. According to US media accounts, Biden won all 14 states. However, he lost to lesser-known rival Jason Palmer in the US territory of Samoa. 

By averaging the results of various opinion polls, US media RealClearPolitics says that Trump is two points ahead of Biden in the race for the presidential election in November.
