Saudi Arabia-United States-Singapore does not prevent La Liga or Premier League matches

Real Madrid and Barcelona face off in La Liga. But not in Santiago Bernabeu or Nou Camp, the match is in Jeddah or Miami! English Premier League Manchester derby is not in Manchester, but in Singapore!

Don't be surprised to see this happen in the near future. The barrier of hosting a domestic league match of a country in another country was removed. FIFA itself has decided to reform the laws necessary for one country to host league matches in another country. FIFA's existing laws oblige domestic league matches to be played within the country's geographical boundaries.

With this law, the football organizer Relevant Sports filed a case against FIFA, the governing body of world football, in the New York court of the United States. Relevant announced to host the 2018 La Liga Barcelona-Girona match in Miami. However, it could not be done with the help of FIFA. In 2019, Relevant also wanted to host an Ecuadorian league match in the United States. But this time the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) did not give permission due to FIFA's legal obligations. After that, Relevant sued FIFA and USSF in the court.

Nearly five years later, on Monday, Relevant's lawyer, Jeffrey L. Kessler, filed a motion to dismiss the case in District Court in Manhattan. In the written application, it is stated that FIFA is willing to accept any sanctions issued by the court and that the plaintiff and the defendant want to settle. However, Relevant wants to continue the case against the USSF.

FIFA has also made a statement in this regard, 'FIFA and the relevant matter have agreed to settle. Because, FIFA is thinking of changing the rules about organizing domestic league matches outside the country.
